About us
Concerned Home Managers for the Elderly (COHME) is a nonprofit home health care agency providing high quality services to the elderly and their families in New York City. We offer comprehensive care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A COHME client service team includes professional staff working in partnership with home health aides. COHME designs a client’s “Plan of Care” based on the needs of each individual and provides FREE home and hospital assessments from Registered Nurses and Licensed Social Workers. COHME’s dual mission is to provide superior compassionate care to our clients and to provide excellent jobs and support services for our health care workers. Meaningful, first-rate jobs for home health aides leads to committed, long lasting employment and strengthens the relationship between the aides and their clients. Care for the caregivers enables COHME to provide the highest quality care for our elderly clients. COHME is licensed by the New York State Department of Health.
