The Coastal team at Reeves Construction Company hosted members of the Coleman Company, Inc team for an "Asphalt 101" course to learn about asphalt production + placement. 🛣 After a safety briefing, our Asphalt Operations Manager, Jason Holley, kicked things off with a tour of our Garden City asphalt plant. Jason was able to walk our guests through the production process and offer a behind-the-scenes look at one of our premier plants. 👷♀️👷♂️ The tour was followed by a Lunch & Learn at the Reeves Coastal office. Our very own Tony Felix, QC Director for Reeves, led the presentation on mix designs, DOT specifications, and many other facets of quality asphalt production. Project Spotlight! We are excited to share Ottawa Farms in Bloomingdale, GA. This project consists of three buildings totaling about 1 million square feet of industrial space on approximately 82 acres. Our industrial team worked closely with Chatham County's stormwater department to increase flood storage volume, which significantly improved the flooding conditions around Hardin Canal. This project also included the construction of a roundabout to allow access on Bloomingdale road for both tracts.
