Last week, Leadership Scholars from Cohort 11 had the opportunity to visit Exploring, Inc. The students are always amazed at the capabilities of the company to fulfill the creative process from initial design to final completed products. Special thanks to David Walens and Leah Webster for hosting our students for another year!

Recently, Leadership Scholars from Cohort 11 visited Astral Health & Beauty to hear from their leadership team. The students really enjoyed hearing from Robert Cohen and his team, Julie Campbell, Kathy Jones PHR, SHRM-CP, and Anna Marie Glasgow about the origins of the company to how they have become leaders in their industry. Thank you for letting our students visit again! #colescollegeleadershipscholars

Last week, the Leadership Scholars Program hosted Sackademic II, the second cornhole tournament and mixer for current cohorts and alumni of the program. We had a great turnout at the event and are appreciative of the continued involvement of all of our alumni with both this program and the Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business. We were also able to package this event with the KSU football game, which gave us a lot of time to catch up. Thank you to Joshua Wolfe, MBA for the all of the grilling. Congrats to Maverick Jones and Declan Reuschel for winning the tournament!

Recently, Leadership Scholars from Cohort 11 were able to visit Cox Enterprises on a site visit for their Applied Leadership course. The leadership panel featured Eric Pace, Lisa Stalter, Danielle Kimmel, and Sarah Prochaska Groves. It was enlightening to the students to hear from the various leaders how the culture at Cox Enterprises runs throughout the organization. A special thanks to our Cohort 6 alum, Raicheal Tringali, and Nicholas Sell for the invitation and for organizing the event. #ColesCollegeLeadershipScholars

Recently, students from Cohort Nine of the Coles College Leadership Scholars Program presented to business leaders from Jackson Healthcare, LocumTenens.com, and Care Logistics. We are appreciative of the willingness of these organizations to work with our students on real projects to prepare them for their next career steps. In this case, students worked with the companies on Business Intelligence problems to help them build dashboards and visualizations around important business questions and key metrics. We appreciate the partnership with these organizations that has spanned multiple years with our Leadership Scholars. Particular thanks this time around to the project champions Robyn Smith, Laura Brown, Nick Tailhardat, and Sue Ann Davis.

Recently, the Coles College Leadership Scholars Program hosted Sackademic, a cornhole tournament for students in the current cohorts nine and ten, the upcoming cohort eleven, alumni of the Coles Leadership Scholars Program, students from other Coles College clubs, and business partners of the program. We had a great turnout and hope to build upon this for future events. The winning team consisted of Nicholas Massaroni and Jack Hipp, CPA, and the backwards toss champion was Micah Colee! We expect them to come back to defend their titles next time! A special thanks to our partners who were able to contribute to our success: Henssler Financial, Jackson Healthcare, David Ringstrom, Julie Campbell, Razorfish, and Microsoft. Thanks for dropping in to throw a few sacks!

Recently, a team of Leadership Scholars from Cohort Nine presented the results of their work from their Consulting and Change Management course to leadership at Henssler Financial. The students assisted with modeling a human resources growth plan for Henssler Financial for the coming years. In addition to the practical experience of working on a consulting project, the Leadership Scholars will also retain their own insights into how to manage growth of an organization - an important issue they will likely encounter someday as business leaders. #ColesCollegeLeadershipScholars #LiveReady

Every fall term, Leadership Scholars in their second year work in teams with local businesses and non-profits in their Consulting and Change Management class. This term, one team Leadership Scholars from Cohort Nine worked with The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command to analyze performance and placement of the Red Kettles in the Atlanta area. A few students also went out to ring the bell recently to not only understand the processes behind how Red Kettles work, but also to assist with their partner's goals. Thank you to The Salvation Army for what you are doing in the Atlanta community, and for the great learning experience for our students. #ColesCollegeLeadershipScholars #SalvationArmyAtlanta #RedKettle
