Collaborative Engineering Group (CEG) was established in 2010 by a group of experienced engineers who wanted to create an MEP engineering firm with a strong focus on collaboration with team partners. With over sixty years collective experience, CEG’s partners bring a diverse portfolio of professional engineering services in the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems. It is the philosophy of CEG that when the MEP engineers function as a collaborative team partner, the client obtains the most innovative, functional, and cost effective project. In addition, CEG is committed to providing the consistent, responsive, personal attention that each client desires. CEG is a State of Texas HUB and WBE firm.

We appreciate the opportunity to support the creative endeavors of students in yet another stunning performing arts venue.
Lone Star College-University Park's Visual & Performing Arts Center is the new center of creativity on campus! Working alongside the architects at Studio RED, Schuler Shook provided theatre planning, theatrical technical systems design, and seating and platform systems design for the project. The scope included the primary performance space on campus, a black box theatre, and rehearsal room. One important aspect of the 338-seat main theatre is the catwalk system above. It's not just for show – it's designed to make it easier for behind-the-scenes crew to work their magic during performances. And those side positions you see in the photos? They're all about versatility, allowing productions to spill out beyond the stage and into the audience chamber. The Visual & Performing Arts Center was recently named a finalist in the Houston Business Journal Landmark Awards Public Assembly category. Congratulations to all who worked on this project! The Houston Business Journal awarded our Houston Zoo Headquarters job a 2024 Landmark Award for in the Headquarters Move category! The Houston Zoo's new headquarters centralizes administrative staff for the first time since opening in 1922. The office space includes raised floors, office suites, conference rooms, break areas, and a multimedia studio. The top level has four terraces, and the garage eases parking congestion with spaces for electric vehicles, carts, bicycles, and more.
