Urgent care clinicians inspiring excellence in patient care & advancing the specialty via education, advocacy & research
About us
CUCM is a clinician led nonprofit organization with the core purpose to be the voice and resource for Urgent Care clinicians. Our mission is to inspire excellence in patient care and advance the Urgent Care specialty through education, advocacy and research. Our vision is to see Urgent Care as a recognized and sought after medical specialty serving an essential role in the health care continuum. Since its inception in 2009, CUCM has worked to complement the activities of the Urgent Care Association (UCA) while inspiring excellence in the field of Urgent Care, and also advancing the specialty. CUCM serves as the professional society within the UCA, providing a platform for Urgent Care clinicians to work towards improving the clinical practice of Urgent Care medicine. Since its inception, CUCM has been involved with various activities. It is responsible for developing the clinical content for the urgent care Spring and Fall conferences. These conferences provide the latest and most up to date clinical information to urgent care clinicians, so that they can continue to provide the highest level of care to their patients. CUCM has also developed a Degree of Fellowship (FCUCM) which recognizes clinicians for their dedication to the specialty and pursuing excellence. CUCM also has multiple years of experience in working with graduate urgent care programs in the United States and has helped set up such fellowship programs across the country. CUCM is also leads the way for urgent care clinicians when it comes to issues that impact their practice. An example of this would be the national drive towards antibiotic stewardship. CUCM has developed an Antibiotic Stewardship Toolkit that is geared towards helping urgent care clinicians have a meaningful impact on this extremely important issue. CUCM is a professional society that continues diligently to work towards inspiring excellence, and advance the urgent care specialty. We proudly serve urgent care clinicians.
