Last week #COGI attended Pfizer’s inaugural Global IBD Community Summit held in Warsaw, Poland. The theme: Uninhibited. The discussions? Health equity, patient centered care, and better outcomes ultimately improving the lives of IBD patients. This included multiple stakeholders from patients and patient advocacy orgs, to HCP’s, and more. We even tackled the conversation of mental health and its effect on patients living with a chronic illness (Thank you Rwenshaun Miller of Eustress Inc.) Health equity certainly looks different in many places, but one thing’s for sure, this summit solidified the need for representation globally. And our commitment to community, access, and advocacy remains, and will continue to grow. We are so grateful, not only for the support, but for the amplified voice and invaluable partnerships.
