CG - Helene Update 9/29/24 Dear Clients and Friends, We can only pray that you and your loved ones are safe. Helene has decimated our area and life as we know it for now. The people of WNC are resilient and will respond, but it will take time. At the time of this email, we have heard from most of our staff and so far, everyone is safe. There are still some that we haven’t been able to communicate with but have every reason to believe they are OK. Access to internet and cell phone is intermittent. We foresee the early part of this week will be a challenge to provide our typical level of client service. We appreciate your grace and understanding in our response times this week. For emergencies, I have internet and cell service. Feel free email tgroome@coltongroome.com. Most of our planning team members are without cell phone or internet access right now. Team Spotlight! ----------------------------------------------- Matthew Donohue, CFA, CFP®, CPA Manager of Trading & Investment Research Matt is a transplant to the Asheville area, originally from Utah. He received both his Bachelors and Masters of Accountancy degrees from Brigham Young University. After graduation, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a public company auditor. After completing numerous audit seasons, he was ready for a forward looking, client centric experience and started the Certified Financial Planner™ pursuit. Matt manages the implementation and trading of clients’ investment portfolios while also working directly with client relationships. He also heads the Colton Groome Investment Committee and does research for existing and potential investment options. When he’s not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Whitney, and their four children, Sadie, Paisley, Micah and Lydia. He also spends time volunteering at his church and is an active member of the board for the Council on Aging of Buncombe County. https://lnkd.in/eSxvgZ_R
