About us

Based in Portland, Oregon, Columbia Sportswear Company (NASDAQ: COLM) is a global outdoor brand that crafts active lifestyle gear fortified with industry-leading technologies and tested in our backyard. Our apparel, footwear, and accessories reflect our Pacific Northwest heritage and indomitable spirit. Over the last 80 years, Columbia and our family of brands, Sorel, prAna, and Mountain Hardwear, have grown to over 10,000 employees and proudly sell products in over 100 countries. At Columbia, we're as passionate about the outdoors as you are. And while our gear is available around the world, we're proud to be based in the Pacific Northwest where the lush forests, snow-covered mountains, rugged coastline, and wide-open spaces serve as our playground. This is where we hike, fish, hunt, camp, climb, shred, paddle, golf, run, and just enjoy the fresh air with friends. We hope to see you out there. Columbiasportswearcompany.com #GetOutside

The Product Integrity team held an in-person summit at our Portland HQ office for the first time in roughly 5 years. This team is an essential part of our business, as they ensure that our consumers are receiving high-quality products to pursue their passions – whatever that may be. Employees and partners from our family of brands and partners from El Salvador, China, India, and Vietnam joined in person as the team worked together to “redefine the basics to elevate the product” as one of our prAna employees put it. From tours of the office to exploring the Columbia River Gorge, it was a week spent focusing on aligning as one global team, enhancing processes, and elevating relationships between cross-functional partners. #lifeatcsc

Mickey’s Outdoor Club Collection brings your favorite characters along for the ride. Because it’s not where you go, it’s who you’re with. In August, the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Employee Resource Network set up a donation bin on campus to collect new and gently used items for their community partners: Days for Girls, Dress for Success Oregon, and Rose Haven. Throughout the year, WLI invites employees to participate in both in-person and virtual volunteer events to support these partners. By bringing a donation bin to campus, WLI is providing more opportunities for employees to get involved year-round. #lifeatcsc

We're proud to announce the opening of a new prAna outlet store in the Carlsbad Premium Outlets center - just minutes away from prAna HQ! On the day of the opening, prAna HQ employees had the chance to shop, and enjoy donuts and coffee before the store opened. The next day, we partnered with two local yoga instructors to host a free community yoga class with live music and fresh juice from Choice Juicery. The first 48 participants even received a free prAna yoga mat and swag bag! Thank you to all of our Retail team members who made the store opening and community events all possible! Employees at Portland HQ gathered at our event space last month for a Hawaiian-themed event hosted by CAPE, our Coalition of Asian Pacific Islander Employee Network. It was a family-friendly event with fun activities for all ages! There was live music, by the talented local artist, Kaleo Titcomb, shaved ice from Da Shave Ice Shack, and games! Thanks to our friends at CAPE for hosting this event and for the employees who participated in making it memorable! #LifeatCSC

United in Yosemite is a project of the American Alpine Club and Yosemite Conservancy, and is hosted by Yosemite National Park. The American Alpine Club is one of Mountain Hardwear's nonprofit community impact partners. This year, two Mountain Hardwear athletes Genevive Walker and Caleb Robinson, attended the festival and led clinics. Three Mountain Hardwear employees supported the in-person event - Kathryn Luna (Brand Marketing), Cindy Shi (Equipment Designer), and Diane Payes (Employee Experience). In Yosemite, it’s the big walls that should be intimidating. Not the community. United in Yosemite is not just a climbing festival. It is a celebration of the growing affinity spaces in climbing across the globe. It is a place to connect to climbers of all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and cultural/ethnic backgrounds. It is a space elevating the voices of athletes and teachers from historically marginalized backgrounds who are excited to teach in community. #LifeatCSC
