I am thrilled and humbly grateful to be included in this year's Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Venture Capital category, alongside my Comma Capital co-founder David Ongchoco! Echoing David's sentiments, I am deeply thankful for this recognition. It's a moment that not only marks a milestone in our journey but also serves as a reminder to cherish and enjoy every step of this incredible path we're on. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our early LPs who believed in us when all of this was just an idea, our co-investors with whom we’ve had the privilege to collaborate, and especially to all our portfolio founders who trusted us to be part of their entrepreneurial journey. Your faith in us has been the cornerstone of our success. Also special shoutout to some of our earliest believers before we even started Comma and were syndicate investing - glad I have friends like Nilay Valecha, Nader Kalil, Adarsh Battu and many others who believed in us from day 0 over 3 years ago into our first investment ever! It’s the people - your support and belief - that truly make this journey worthwhile. As we celebrate this moment, we also look forward with excitement and determination to the work ahead. There’s so much more to do, so many more startups to support, and countless more learning experiences to embrace. Onwards and upward, with immense gratitude and full of hope for the future! #ForbesUnder30 #VentureCapital #StartupJourney #CommaCapital #Grateful
Thankful to be included in this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 Venture Capital category with my Comma Capital cofounder Adarsh Bhatt. We have a lot more work to do in the coming months and years but my good friends Riley Soward and Hriday Kemburu reminded me this morning to always enjoy the journey and to celebrate the moments. As an immigrant from the Philippines who had no idea what VC even meant 10 years ago when I first moved to the US for college, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with amazing people everyday. It was during our SXSW trip in 2019 when Adarsh and I, one year out of college, first joked around about this idea of starting a VC fund 15-20 years down the road and asked ourselves why can’t we do it now? Thank you to all our LPs who put us in business, early believers who reviewed our very first LP pitch deck, co-investors we’ve gotten the chance to work with, all our Comma Collective community members and all our portfolio founders who let us invest in them and be partners in their startup journey. And of course to our friends and family who have been cheering us along the way throughout the ups and downs — the people are what makes this worth it. There’s too many people who have helped us along the way the last 10 years but special shoutout to Phin Barnes for being our first LP to commit at the end of 2020 that made us think that hey we can do this. Onwards and upward! 😊 https://lnkd.in/dxJYy8rz
