About us

Brought to life by a Kickstarter campaign in 2013, Commodity has gone from crowd-funded to crowd-favorite thanks to its continuous redesign of the fragrance experience. Most notable is their coining of Scent Space: a classification system that invites you to take control of your fragrance’s projection, of who else experiences your fragrance. Each Commodity fragrance is available in three different Scent Spaces–Personal, Expressive, and Bold–so that you can choose your fragrance and your projection.

    In this edition of our #MeetTheTeam series, we’re introducing Gabriela Della Corna. Gabriela is our Head of Creative Advertising, so if you've come across one of our Ads, that's Gabriela's work! She officially joined the team in July 2023. However, her journey with Commodity began at her previous company, Kworq, where she collaborated on Ad-based projects with both Commodity and Europerfumes. With over five years of working closely with Vicken, Inbal, and others, her transition to an in-house role was exceptionally seamless! As you can probably tell by now, Commodity prides itself on fostering longstanding connections and making sure our team members thrive and stay with us for the long haul.

    Summer is generally known as the quieter season, with business partners on leave and team members out-of-office, but for us it’s been quite the opposite.  So far, we’ve: • Launched a New Fragrance (Juice) • Launched in Skins (Netherlands) • Launched in Dover Street Parfums Market (France) • Launched a digital Summer Series (Sense of Summer) And we’re just ramping up.     We’re excited to share that Commodity will officially open in a new, iconic retailer on the same opening day and same opening city as the Summer #Olympics. As of tomorrow, July 26th, Commodity will be available at the DOVER STREET MARKET (INTERNATIONAL) LIMITED in Le Marais. Conceived by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label COMME des GARÇONS and her husband Adrian Joffe, Dover Street Parfums Market is an outpost of Dover Street Market dedicated to beauty with a hand-curated collection of unique perfumes alongside a diverse selection of makeup, skincare, and haircare products from around the world.     We are excited to share that we've officially extended our global presence into the Netherlands with our new partner Skins, the iconic Dutch multi-brand beauty retailer and distributor! “Skins is the perfect partner to help bring Commodity fragrances to European customers. This collaboration not only expands our global presence but also provides fragrance enthusiasts in Europe with access to our unique Scent Space concept, encouraging them to explore and personalize their scent experience like never before.” Our full Scent Space collection will soon be available in five of their brick-and-mortar boutiques and on their website.

    Following last week's launch, we're happy to share that Juice has made a noteworthy splash across all markets, surpassing all initial expectations! Starting with our SEPHORA App pre-launch on June 17, we beat our forecasts by a landslide, delivering almost half of Week 1's target on the first day, which catapulted us to the #3 spot for total sales on Sephora.com. In just a short span since our launch on June 18th, Juice Expressive emerged as the bestseller, closely followed by Juice+ Bold, which is poised to gain even more traction this fall, serving as the perfect transitional scent from summer to fall. Beyond the US, our International markets experienced an astonishing 500-600% surge in sales. We are so thrilled to have gotten Juice into the hands of thousands of customers already, and this is just the beginning! We're excited to see this momentum continue to build. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our community, content creators, team, and the visionary behind it all, Nathalie Benareau, for their hard work and creativity in bringing our new scent to life.
