Last week, joint venture partners Commodore Builders and Walsh Brothers, Incorporated (Commodore | Walsh) placed the final steel beam atop the new Veterans' Home in Holyoke. Surrounded by veterans, their families, and representatives from across the Commonwealth, the topping off ceremony represents the latest milestone in the reimagining of the Home. The new, state-of-the-art facility, designed by PAYETTE will provide long-term care services to veterans with the honor, dignity, and respect that their military deserves. Congratulations to the entire team on achieving this milestone! We are proud to have been entrusted with this impactful project, and look forward to continue delivering this project with excellence. Last week, our team had the pleasure of hosting the CMAA New England Chapter (Construction Management Association of America) and Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Construction Management Club at our project on the 18th Floor of Winthrop Center. From the base building team, Brad Mahoney, Director of Sustainable Development for Millenium Partners discussed the planning and construction of Winthrop Center. The group then took a tour of our project site, led by assistant project manager John Viotto, EIT, CCM. John discussed how Commodore approaches the tenant fit outs and the complexities of renovating floors in a high-rise adjacent to concurrent construction projects. It was a great day of learning, exploration, and inspiring anecdotes from all! #CommodoreBuilders #ConstructionManagement #CMAA #WinthropCenter #CorporateInteriors #WorkSafeLiveSafe

Each October, our industry comes together for Construction Inclusion Week to build awareness, share educational resources, and celebrate the power of inclusion and belonging. This year’s theme, “Amplifying Belonging in the Built Environment” emphasizes the importance of creating spaces – both in the office and on the job site – where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. This week, our team gathered to discuss what inclusion and belonging means in the workplace and on the construction site – authenticity, trust, and support were themes that echoed throughout our conversations. As Construction Inclusion Week comes to a close, we look forward to continuing these conversations in our work. Commodore Builders’ dedication to fostering an inclusive environment remains at the heart of everything we do – because together, we can build stronger communities. #CommodoreBuilders #ConstructionManagement #DEI #BuildNewEngland #WorkSaveLifeSafe

Exciting news! Our team at the Town of Littleton's Senior Center project recently conducted a preliminary blower door test to evaluate the building’s airtightness as part of our Quality Control/Quality Assurance program. Thanks to the entire team’s diligence and quality control, we not only met but far exceeded the required stretch code air tightness requirements. This achievement is a testament to the team’s meticulous planning, anticipation, and quality control. Read more about how meticulous planning, foresight, and quality control enabled us to achieve success and prepared us for the final code-required test: https://ow.ly/h9NU50TKMSV LLB Architects, The Vertex Companies LLC, Advanced Building Analysis #CommodoreBuilders #ConstructionManagement #Sustainability #StretchCodes #Littleton #WorkSafeLiveSafe
