About us
Communities Foundation of Texas has been a partner with donors for raising the quality of life in our community for more than 60 years. CFT provides effective ways to make meaningful charitable contributions while realizing significant tax advantages. CFT handles the investment of the gift, listens to the donor's priorities and manages charitable grants to worthwhile causes. The value of a gift can be granted out completely in a short period of time or it can be nurtured to provide a long legacy of charitable support. The foundation's experience in the nonprofit community and with donors results in a unique relationship with powerful benefits. A community foundation, as the name implies, is a public charity created as a vehicle for charitable giving. The defining characteristic of a community foundation is that it represents the donors' charitable interests and adds value through its wealth of community knowledge, along with the leadership of its board of trustees and the services of a professional staff.

Yesterday, we supported our partners at the Dallas Regional Chamber at their 26th Women’s Business Conference. CFTeam members joined DRC to ‘Embrace Every Era’ as they highlighted the unique experiences and wisdom women can share across industries, roles, and generations. Inspired after hearing from local leaders and CFT partners including Cynt Marshall, Dallas Mavericks CEO and DRC 2024 Board Chair, Miss Texas - Annette Addo-Yobo, M.A., and Sonal Shah from The Texas Tribune!

Communities Foundation of Texas' Educate Texas is strengthening education and workforce development across Texas. This year's Career Connect Texas Fall Convening brought together education and industry leaders to collaborate on preparing students for high-demand careers.
Strategic partnerships and meaningful collaboration were front and center at this year’s Career Connect Texas (CCTX) Fall Convening. Over two days, thought leaders in workforce development came together to share strategies and resources for advancing career-connected learning in Texas. The event featured sessions on sector-specific challenges, work-based learning innovations, and the importance of building strong employer partnerships. Participants also explored the importance of data in storytelling to drive program success. The power of partnerships is evident when education and industry come together to create pathways for success. Learn more about Educate Texas' CCTX initiative: https://lnkd.in/gB2pJwuW
