Last week Communities First, Inc. was honored to host the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Director Sandra Thompson, in both Flint and Detroit. Local, state, and federal leaders gathered for a roundtable discussion in both cities to share context on what housing looks like in their respective cities. Director Thompson was able to gain first-hand insight from this important step forward for the housing crisis in Michigan as well as tour properties of Communities First, Inc., including the newly constructed Grand on University. Discussions like these help fulfill Communities First, Inc.'s mission of building healthy, vibrant communities through affordable housing. Communities First, Inc. would like to thank the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis for their partnership in facilitating the roundtable discussion and MTA Flint for providing transportation for the property tour.
