This past month has been amazing for CANV, filled with inspiring events and wonderful moments. Here are some highlights: On June 18th, we had the honor of hosting California Congressman Mike Thompson. He met with our dedicated CANV team and board of directors for a tour of the new Napa Food Bank and presented a certificate to CANV, recognizing our efforts and commitment to the community. On June 26th Girl Scout Troop 10715 visited the Napa Food Bank to deliver a donation of over $1,500 to the CANV from their fundraising efforts. We are so grateful for their generosity and hard work! On June 28th our CANV Kids childcare program celebrated a heartfelt graduation, sending a new group of children off to kindergarten. Congratulations to all the graduates and their families! Later that night THE SOCIETY CYCLING + STRENGTH! held their Sweat & Give Back program, featuring a 45-minute outdoor workout session in downtown Napa. All proceeds from this energetic event went to support CANV's mission. On July 1st, the Suscol Intertribal Council performed a beautiful tribal blessing for the Food Bank. This ceremony brought a profound sense of community, heritage, and gratitude to our space. We are incredibly thankful for the support and recognition from our community leaders and the enriching cultural experiences that bring us all closer. We had a fantastic time at the recent Wellness and Sustainability Fair hosted by Domaine Carneros Winery! This annual event brought together employees from all departments – Visitor Center, Call Center, Production, Vineyard, and more – to focus on wellness and sustainability. CANV's Executive Director, Drene Johnson, was there to speak with employees and share valuable information and resources alongside other local organizations. Our goal was to promote wellness in all its forms: mental, financial, physical, and community, and to highlight the importance of sustainability. Earlier this week the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management annual volunteer group had 14 team members assemble at our warehouse to scrutinize a total of 9,800 pounds of food from the CANDO Green Bag Program June food drive.
