Yesterday's groundbreaking at the Marshall County Courthouse was a big success! Thank you to all who came to celebrate with us as we marked the beginning of construction on this project. This project is important because we get to help preserve the historic county courthouse building the community knows and loves, while adding a new addition that integrates into the existing architecture and provides more functionality. This project consists of adding: 🧑💻 Offices 🛗 Elevator Tower 🏢 Conference Room/Meeting Space 🚑 Dispatch Center and Support Spaces 👮♀️ Law Enforcement Offices 🔒 Holding Cells A big thanks to ISG for partnering with us to bring this vision to life. And an ever bigger thanks to the people of Britton for trusting us to preserve and strengthen this landmark in your hometown. One of our employees captured this beautiful shot of the Richland County Courthouse in Wahpeton, ND, during an early morning run, and we thought it worth sharing! We're excited to be working on a project that -almost literally- impacts our own backyard. Knowing that the work we do benefits our families, neighbors, and community makes it all the more satisfying. Known for her commitment and teamwork, she consistently goes above and beyond to support her colleagues and contribute to the company’s success. Her experience and positive attitude make her an invaluable member of our team, and we’re grateful for all she does. 👱🏼♀️ Tell us about yourself! I am originally from Wahpeton, ND and have lived here most of my life. I have also lived in Texas, Fargo and Rapid City. I have 4 children and 5 grandchildren-my family means the world to me, and I think one of the greatest gifts in life is to spend quality time with people we love. 🍫 What is your favorite candy? Reese's 🎄 What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas is my favorite holiday. It brings family together and we spend time together talking and playing games. 🚧 What is the most difficult challenge you've experienced at Comstock Construction and how did you overcome it? Before coming to Comstock Construction, I worked in a mental health clinic for 20 years, so switching from mental health/medical terminology to learning construction lingo was a bit of a challenge. It took some time and help from some knowledgeable coworkers along the way. And I am very thankful for their help. 🪴 What do you love about working with Comstock Construction? Our leadership team is great—they listen and encourage us to grow and succeed. Another day, another career fair ✅ We had a blast chatting with the high schoolers from Wahpeton, Breckenridge, Wydmere and Fairmont schools yesterday. So much potential in our local youth! We're excited to see what their futures bring and help guide them along their journey.
