There's been a significant investment of $658 million dedicated to enhancing clean energy and electric infrastructure in underserved communities. This funding focuses on ensuring a safer and more reliable energy supply while also improving grid resilience. On top of that, it will introduce important programs and discounts for low-income households. These initiatives are a vital step toward building a more inclusive and sustainable energy landscape for everyone. http://spr.ly/6042qkw8C #cleanenergy

Powering NYC, Westchester, and leading the clean energy transition.
About us
We provide power to more than 10 million people and businesses across NYC and Westchester. Reliability and accessibility are central to what we do and how we provide energy service. Leading the industry to power tomorrow is our other focus- we are committed to aggressively transitioning away from fossil fuels to a net-zero economy by 2050. To help achieve this we collaborate with customers, regulators, policymakers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure our clean energy future is informed by principles of affordability, equity, and environmental justice. We’re also heavily investing in new technologies and the infrastructure that can get us there. What are a few things we have achieved so far? • Since 2009, our energy efficiency programs have prevented 11 million metric tons of carbon emissions – the same amount it would take to power 1.4 million homes for a year • Recently, we’ve embarked on an 8-year project to make our systems more resilient in the face of extreme weather events

Our CEO, Tim Cawley's remarks earlier this week at the groundbreaking of our new Idlewild project in Queens. This critical upgrade will allow for future growth, continued electrification and redevelopment of downtown Jamaica, J.F.K. Airport, and the MTA’s bus fleet. The event was attended by representatives of the New York State Department of Public Service, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, elected officials, and community leaders. “The Reliable Clean City – Idlewild Project represents a major milestone in our strategy to create a clean energy future where every New Yorker can share in the benefits of a reliable, climate-resilient grid." Tim Cawley, chairman and chief executive.

We’re making it easier for New Yorkers without access to a home charger to charge their electric vehicles at the curb, all while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In partnership with the City of New York and FLO EV Charging, one of North America’s largest electric vehicle charging networks, we are installing over 100 charging stations across the five boroughs. This initiative will empower New Yorkers to explore and enjoy the city they love with peace of mind. Learn more: http://spr.ly/6047UPqCX #NYCEV #ConEdisonEVChargers

We partnered with GrowNYC on these innovative 40-foot shipping container gardens, which can grow up to 2 acres of crops. GrowNYC is addressing food access and highlighting unique, non-traditional farming methods. Our collaboration aims to take these containers off-grid with solar power, reducing strain on the energy system. Click the link to learn more: http://spr.ly/6046o2sf2 #ClimateWeekNYC #OurStories
