Our Gear Up for School Drive was a tremendous success! A huge shout out to our associates who donated much-needed school supplies throughout the month of July, supporting our local communities. Donations from across our office locations will be collected and delivered to local schools in need.

We are excited to announce our last intern of the spotlight series, Jenna Kearnan! Jenna is about to begin her senior year at Dean College where she is pursuing a degree in Communications and minoring in Integrated Marketing. On top of taking 18 credits this semester, Jenna is also thoroughly involved with extra-curriculars on campus. She holds an e-board member position for the National Society of Leadership and Success, and was previously a Success Networking Team speaker. Jenna is also involved with the Women in Business club and assisted in founding their yearly conference and honors program. Jenna values strong company cultures, which is one of the reasons she decided to intern with us. Jenna enjoyed the intimate, 1-on-1 experience she received this summer and appreciates the value it has brought to her professional development. Jenna had opportunities to work in our Massachusetts office and attend events in our Bedford, New Hampshire headquarters. She’s enjoyed getting to work with associates in both offices this summer. We wish you the best Jenna!

Jared Silverio is our next intern spotlight! Jared is currently attending Bentley University and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, which he will complete in December 2024. This coming semester he is also taking classes which will contribute towards his master’s degree (anticipating completion of his master’s by May 2025). Jared has successfully managed a schedule of six classes each semester, along with summer courses, to complete his course load on an accelerated time schedule. At Bentley, he is actively involved in the Investment Club and was previously the quarterback for the football team. Recently, Jared has taken up golf to maintain his competitive spirit and enjoys reading investment books as he prepares for his SIE exam. Jared recognizes the importance of being well-informed in various fields and decided to intern at Concord Group Insurance to broaden his knowledge base. Throughout his internship, Jared has appreciated the friendly and helpful nature of our associates. He has particularly enjoyed learning about home inspections and gaining insights into umbrella policies, which he had not known about before. Jared is motivated, dependable, and ambitious, and we wish him the best of luck finishing out his bachelor’s and master’s degrees!

Our next spotlight is our Data Analyst Intern, Lauren McKeen! She is currently studying at the College of the Holy Cross. Majoring in Economics with a minor in Statistics, Lauren finds her field of study highly relatable and applicable to everyday life. About to begin her senior year, Lauren is actively involved in extracurricular activities, including the Run Club and the Outdoors Club. As the treasurer for the Run Club, she plays a crucial role in planning practices and managing their budget. Lauren is also an active runner herself, practicing five days a week and competing in meets around New England. Passionate about the sport, she has also completed three half marathons to date, with aspirations to run a full marathon in the future! Lauren’s decision to intern at The Concord Group was influenced by the welcoming interview process, where she felt she would continue to develop her analytical skills. She has gained substantial knowledge about analytics and appreciates seeing real-world applications of her studies. Known for her hardworking and organized nature, we are looking forward to seeing everything Lauren accomplishes her senior year!

We are excited to introduce Kyle Burditt, our next summer intern spotlight! Kyle is about to start his senior year at the University of New Hampshire. He is majoring in Analytical Economics and was drawn to the major for its numerical focus and broad applicability. At UNH, Kyle is actively involved in the Economics Club and enjoys participating in recreational sports, particularly basketball and pickleball. His love for the outdoors is evident in his hobbies, which include hiking and fishing, and has motivated him to consider minoring in Environmental and Natural Resources Studies. Kyle chose to intern at Concord Group Insurance because of its small, personalized environment where he felt valued rather than just another number. Through his internship, Kyle has gained a deeper understanding of insurance, learning about various types and policy coverages—knowledge he deems invaluable for his future. Looking ahead, Kyle is excited about moving into his own apartment, completing his minor coursework, and running for a board position in the Economics Club this coming semester. We wish Kyle the best of luck in his senior year!

Meet Charlie Smith, our next intern spotlight! Charlie is about to start his senior year at Gordon College and chose the school for its intimate size, excellent professional programs, and scenic campus. Charlie is pursuing a major in History with a minor in Business Administration, a choice driven by his long-standing interest in the subject and its introspective nature. On campus, he actively works at the library and held an internship there focused on the school archives. His decision to intern at Concord Group Insurance was influenced by the company’s reputation for providing a hands-on experience and valuing its interns. Working in the insurance industry also runs through his family! Throughout this summer’s internship, he has gained insights into the intricacies of underwriting, learning about the variety and autonomy the field offers. Charlie is analytical and introspective, and has enjoyed demonstrating that through his work. Charlie is looking forward to taking a risk management course during his senior year and applying all he learned this summer. We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes!
