    We are excited to partner with Confirm for the first learning program to learn about Organizational Network Analysis! This Hacking HR's Crash Course: "Redefining Performance Management Using Organizational Network Analysis (ONA)" introduces advanced concepts that redefine how organizations assess and manage employee performance. ONA addresses the challenge of increased number of employee touch points and lower managerial visibility by analyzing both formal and informal networks within an organization, offering data-informed insights that enhance visibility and optimize performance management. Participants will learn how ONA uncovers hidden influencers, improves collaboration, and aligns performance with organizational goals, particularly in distributed teams. The Crash Courses shows how integrating ONA into existing performance review frameworks can create a more inclusive, agile, and effective workplace culture. Leveraging key ONA metrics—such as centrality, density, and betweenness—improves the ability to identify bottlenecks, improve team dynamics, and set data-informed performance goals. In addition to technical knowledge, this course covers strategies for managing cultural transformation, addressing bias, and fostering inclusivity through network analysis. Participants will gain practical insights on how to redesign traditional performance systems, enabling leaders to drive collaboration and innovation across their organizations.     Some folks have been sharing this Paul Graham note advocating for cautioning trusting the advice to "hire good people and give them room to do their jobs" which Brian Chesky said was disastrous for Airbnb. Many founders echoing this sentiment, feeling gaslit from VCs and employees by this advice. I think it's important to ask why this approach can fail so spectacularly, and it's related to a lack of appropriate tooling around performance. It hits close to home to what Confirm has found time and time again. Specifically, organizations have a large number of: (1) hidden toxic people who are effective at managing up, and (2) hidden quiet contributors who are creating immense value for the people around them, but their manager doesn't see or acknowledge it. Traditional performance reviews, selection-biased 360's, and even continuous feedback fail to identify who these people are. This is why so many founders see this implosion, because it happens underneath them and they don't see it happening if they aren't leaned it. It DOES NOT have to be this way. In fact, this is why the Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) methodology that Confirm powers is so important, because it identifies who these people are and surfaces them to managers and business leaders so they can take action without having to micromanage.     Last night marked a little over a year of the first ‘AI in HR’ put on by Indeed Investment team, and it was a great one! We had a great group of companies doing demos with a deeply experienced panel providing insightful questions and comments.
