AngelEye Health honors a life well-lived and a true pioneer in neonatal medicine. We remember Mildred T. Stahlman, MD, who is credited with establishing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center the nation’s first Newborn Intensive Care Unit to use monitored respiratory therapy in babies born with damaged lungs. We offer our gratitude for Dr. Stahlman’s amazing career, influence, and advocacy in the field of neonatology. As a mom of a NICU grad who spent over 2 months of his life on a ventilator, I am so grateful for Dr. Stahlman’s pioneering work. ❤️
