2018 March Madness invited Cinderella to the Men's Final Four! The first-ever #16 seed upset shocked the world as University of Maryland Baltimore County stunned #1 University of Virginia. The South Region was pure chaos, with all four top seeds missing the Sweet 16. An NCAA Men's Division I basketball first in tournament history! Cinderella story Loyola University Chicago received a very special invite and danced to the Final Four, joining University of Michigan, The University of Kansas, and Villanova University. In the championship, Villanova University dominated the University of Michigan, securing their second national title in three years. This tournament had other historic moments... For Jason Gasperich, the Upper Peninsula has always been home. Growing up in Gladstone, he embraced the outdoors before heading to Green Bay for a career in construction management. But in 2009, he returned to the U.P. to build courts at Connor® Sports in Amasa, where the hardwood for college basketball comes to life. Houston, we have liftoff! The 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Championships ended with a BANG! The madness kicked off on March 15, 2016, and wrapped up with an epic showdown at NRG Energy Stadium in Houston, TX—the first tourney to feature fully branded #MarchMadness courts! The first round was full of upsets, including No. 15 Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) shocking No. 2 Michigan State University, only the 8th time in history a 15-seed toppled a 2-seed! Plus, for just the third time ever, at least one team seeded #9 through #15 advanced past the first round. The Final Four brought the heat with: Villanova University - first Final Four since 2009 University of Oklahoma - first Final Four since 2002 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - back after their 2009 national championship Syracuse University - the Cinderella 10-seed making history! The championship ended in legendary fashion with a buzzer-beater sealing Villanova University's 77-74 win over University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
