Hot off the press: Breakthrough Energy 's 2024 State of the Transition Report. "In the grand scheme of the energy transition, the consequences of the transmission bottleneck cannot be overstated. Right now, it’s hindering our ability to bring new innovation to market and bring down green premiums for these technologies, because they’re stuck in interconnection queues for five to seven years before even getting on the grid. Deploying new grid and transmission technologies sooner and more efficiently will require a cross-regional, proactive build-out of transmission across the United States and around the world." Check out our spotlight on transmission: https://lnkd.in/eKD9Nha9

A hydrogen-powered future is within reach this decade, and the industry, policymakers and all those interested in a clean future must be prepared to deliver on policy solutions to meet it. Other countries are already embracing the vision of hydrogen by coordinating with industry, investing in infrastructure and providing sound policy. The U.S. must take action now or risk being left behind. Great Op-Ed by Jeremy Harrell, CEO of ClearPath

As fall and winter begin to set in, U.S. LNG will continue to be a key part of Europe's energy mix. With the suspension of Russian oil and gas following the invasion of Ukraine, our allies will continue to need access to secure, affordable energy. A warm winter helped ease demand last year, but it can't be guaranteed. We need to hit "play" on LNG projects in the U.S. to help unleash the full potential of American energy in support of both our allies and developing economies. It's so gratifying to step back periodically and take stock of the powerful transformation that solar is helping to drive across the country and around the world. Abby Hopper, president and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association, just posted a powerful snapshot of where solar is now vs. where it was eight years ago. Check out the whole post here — https://lnkd.in/dQV53Jha — it's worth your time. I'm attaching the state-of-the-industry graphic below. Some highlights: 🌞 More than 263,000 people work in solar. 🌞 Nearly 210 gigawatts of solar is installed across the country. 🌞 15% of homes are expected to have solar systems by 2030 — in just six years! 🌞 Our industry has grown by 22% a year, on average, over the last decade. It all goes to show that solar — especially when backed up by battery storage — is the future. It's already saving our customers tens of thousands of dollars over the lifetime of their systems, and those savings will only increase as electricity gets more expensive. Call us at Freedom Solar Power if you want to be a part of it. #SolarEnergy #TXEnergy #txlege #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability
