On National Make a Difference Day, we imagine a world where people come together to make a positive difference in their communities through volunteering, organizing charitable projects or through simple acts of kindness. Amanda Woeste, Assistant Director, Purchasing and Travel, is one of the many Constellation associates who is a community champion by donating her time, talents and treasure to causes important to her.     Among Amanda’s contributions to improving the community around her is her work serving on the Board of Directors at Insuring the Children (ITC), a Cincinnati-based nonprofit comprised of insurance professionals working to reduce child abuse. The organization helps fund programs, such as the Child Abuse Pediatrics Fellowship Program, which trains medical professionals on how to recognize, diagnose and treat children who experience abuse.     Constellation Insurance, Inc. is committed to supporting and encouraging associates' philanthropic efforts like Amanda’s, through matching programs and a community service benefit. Breast cancer impacts one in eight women and their families with increasing rates in women in their 20s, 30s and 40s. At Constellation, we look beyond the pink ribbon and recognize the importance of early detection in the lives of so many moms, wives, sisters, friends and families. That is why we offer a medical plan without a minimum age requirement for mammograms.      When detected early, breast cancer has a 99% 5-year relative survival rate. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our team in Cincinnati organized a screening event with UC Health for associates, family members and friends. It is estimated that more than one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness. This World Mental Health Day, we recognize not all struggles can be seen.
