The election can be a daunting topic for classroom discussion, but a powerful one to help students engage with each other across lines of difference. If you are planning on facilitating a classroom conversation about the election, our Election Dialogue Playbook may be a useful resource. The Playbook gives step-by-step guidance for how to plan and run a successful session on a potentially contentious topic. One tip: The election itself is actually a very broad topic. Narrowing in on a sub-topic will keep students focused and will foster a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives. We recommend an exercise called Chalk Talk to help students select the sub-topic that most interests them. To learn more about Chalk Talk, download our Playbook: https://hubs.ly/Q02S2dws0 #ConstructiveDialogue #Elections #HigherEd #CDI
