Training and BACB supervision focused on sexuality education and dismantling ableism in practice.

About us

With a growing awareness of ableism and controversy around abuse and ABA, behavior analysts are now navigating situations that require knowledge and skill not only in the application of principles of behavior analysis but also their ethical obligations connected to social validity, cultural competence, and bias. Behavior analysts are not alone in their uncertainty about how best to proceed. I want to help practitioners learn and provide the quality of services that our client's deserve by providing BACB supervision as well as consultation and training about sexuality education and dismantling ableism in practice.

I now have openings for BCBA/BCaBA supervisees! Supervision is incredibly important to me as it is a way to actively make the changes our field so desperately needs. I focus on unrestricted activities and provide supervision emphasizing the evidence-based decision-making model and social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Supervision is not only a way for you to learn but also for me. I have learned so much from my mentors and supervisees over the years, and I can't wait to work with you! Book your free discovery session so I can answer your questions and see if we are a good match! https://lnkd.in/dcd_AeVt

A student asked me recently...Why do some Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) tend to have the perception of knowing everything once they attain their BCBA certification, potentially leading to poor supervision, a lack of collaboration with others, and low-quality services for clients? I would love to hear others' perspectives as to why this happens.

  • Are you really giving clients a choice? For a long time, I was only giving choices to clients that I approved of. This goes as far as with little children, what toys I thought they should play with and how they should play with them. Now, I know it is not about them but my biases. It took me a long time to see what I was doing, and I am still learning every day. Shifting from thinking that “I know what is best” to learning how to truly listen to clients and address ableism within yourself and your organization is essential to providing meaningful and safe services to our clients. https://lnkd.in/g2ht7zc5

    People, disabilities, choices... NO!
