If you want to learn a lot in a condensed amount of time about some of the hidden intricacies of politics, listen to Nathaniel Pearlman's podcast The Great Battlefield. He's so good at having these deep, insightful conversations, probably because he's one of the single most successful entrepreneurs from the space.
In this very fun talk for me, you can listen to a good discussion of political technology in the first half, or a top tier breakdown of voter data and voter registration from the two of us.

I cannot say enough good things about how uniquely Michigan outperforms other states on this front.
