This past weekend, Continental team members, along with friends and family, participated in Revitalize Milwaukee’s Annual Block Build. Together, our team completed a range of essential repairs on a local Milwaukee family's home, including replacing rotted wood on their deck, tackling crucial landscaping projects, painting, and installing outdoor lighting to ensure the family has visibility at night. "It was truly special to be able to give back to a less fortunate part of the community in which I work and live," said Elijah Hart, Land Planner. "The turnout of volunteers and positive attitudes from everyone was infectious and made the day extremely memorable." This week, Travis Millner, CAM, CAPS and Heather R. attended RealWorld 2024, hosted by RealPage, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV. This dynamic 3-day event offers professionals in the rental housing sector the opportunity to explore innovative industry advancements, network with peers and multifamily leaders, and collaborate with property management partners to exchange ideas and solutions. Heather and Travis enjoyed a fun dinner out with our industry peers at Flex and CAPREIT, Inc. Last week, Continental leaders Bindiya Mano, Heather R., and Paul Seifert attended the annual RET Owner’s Summit in Park City, Utah. RET is a group of industry leaders dedicated to identifying and funding start-up companies that seek to disrupt the rental housing industry by enhancing customer value, optimizing operational efficiency, and increasing profitability across the enterprise. As an RET investor, Continental provides financial resources and time to find the best tools and software to advance our development and operational performance. Through RET, Continental has implemented various software tools and solutions, including Checkpoint ID, SmartRent, Funnel Leasing, Procuret LLC, Stake, Engrain, Travtus and Plugzio. This year’s Summit featured presentations and updates by existing RET-funded companies, proposals from prospective companies under consideration by RET, and strategic discussions among RET ownership groups about the group’s future priorities. This past weekend, our Design Team enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Milwaukee Brewers baseball game! The team kicked the day off with classic Milwaukee tailgating, indulging in good food, games, and great company before cheering on the Brewers against the Atlanta Braves. Recently, the 24-hour fitness center at Springs at Sun Prairie in Sun Prairie, WI received an exciting upgrade! The facility now features a stunning custom mural by artist Brett Whitacre, celebrating the natural beauty and active lifestyle of the Sun Prairie community. As a suburb of Madison, one of the fittest cities in the country according to the U.S. News & World Report in 2024, Sun Prairie boasts abundant resources for healthy living, including numerous parks and playgrounds for residents to enjoy.
