    We're excited to welcome Coleman Hubert to the Contractor Dynamics team 🙌🏻 Coleman will be helping our clients build and execute their #5MileFamous marketing machines ⚙️ He has a variety of Sales and Marketing experience, with an entrepreneurial background and mindset for several years. He has a passion for creativity, with a competitive drive to continue to learn and grow. This has led to his skillset of brand awareness storytelling, lead funnel creation, and developing strategy for inbound lead management 💰 Above all, Coleman perfectly fits our culture and aligns with our core values and our mission 💙 He lives in Santa Cruz, California with his girlfriend and two dogs (A Rottweiler and Husky). When he isn’t doing marketing, you can find him outside taking his dogs on hikes and building fun projects for his house (Ex: an outdoor bar and pergola).     THIS should be the goal for all of your marketing 👉🏻 To get more people to know who you are, what you do, and view you in a positive way ☺ Now, there are many different ways to achieve this goal - education, entertainment, humor, etc. - but the goal is the same. If a particular marketing channel is just generating a lead, but the prospect still has no idea who you are, is that a lead you really want anyway? 🤔 I don’t. I want prospective clients to come to us who have seen our content, they see the value we provide, they appreciate that we’re not just another [insert your company type here] company, and they want to work with US, not just anyone. Here are a few ideas for you to consider, as you create your winning marketing plan for 2024 👇🏻 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘀 - Can work really well. But if you’re not also doing brand awareness, do you really want to pay a bunch of money to The Google Man without also creating brand awareness? 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝘀 - Don’t run lead gen ads without doing a LOT of brand awareness. If you do, you’ll end up with a bunch of really bad leads that will make you want to punch a wall. 𝗕𝘂𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 - A few companies I know make this work pretty well. But they have very robust processes for it. In general, I believe this does more harm than good to the growth of your company. Just think about the way YOU make important purchasing decisions... Do you see a single ad from a company, enter your contact info, and make a purchase? Heck no! Well, that’s not the way your market buys, either! Your marketing efforts this year should be centered around the goal I outlined at the beginning of this post.     “I feel like just throwing more money at Google Ads this year is not a smart move.” I met with one of our clients yesterday to map out a game plan for his brand building and marketing for 2024, and that ^ is one of the things he said to me. We’re hearing a LOT of that. And it makes sense 100%. It’s 2024. We can no longer just throw money at marketing and expect it to work. We cannot “pay our way out of our marketing problem”. 😳 The way to WIN with marketing in 2024 is to invest time and energy into it, in addition to investing money into it. There are many ways to do this. It depends where you want to put your focus - ✅ More faces on video and more video content. ✅ Develop a local FB and NextDoor group strategy. ✅ Create a community marketing strategy. ✅ Build more and deeper referral partner relationships. ✅ Start a local podcast. Those are just a few ideas.     Every successful company has this 👇👇👇 The most successful companies in any industry have internal systems for brand-building and marketing. Think about it… The ability to generate customers (marketing) is one of the essential systems of any business. Yes, so few companies have a good system for generating customers with consistency and predictability Here’s what usually happens - A business owner knows marketing is important, but they don’t understand it. So, they hire a marketing agency or person to run their marketing for them. The problem is that in 98% of cases, the marketing ends up being boring, generic content and ads that do nothing to differentiate the roofing company. And, in today’s crowded marketplace, you need to differentiate The only way to differentiate is to tell your unique story - your company, your values, your people, your reviews, your projects, your customers, your community. Read that again ☝️ No matter how good a marketing agency is, they’re simply not going to be able to create and share this type of unique content for you on a daily basis - which is what is required today. That’s why the most successful roofing & contracting companies have internal systems for sharing their story and their content daily. That’s not to say they don’t work with outside agencies and freelancers. However, they’re not outsourcing 100% of their marketing. They’re taking ownership over a decent chunk of it, and executing some of their own marketing, week in and week out. And that’s what it takes in 2024 .🚀 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂: Make sure there is someone in your company in addition to the owner who is doing marketing for at least 10 hours per week every week. Most of our clients have a full-time, in-house marketing person. So, that might be someone you want to hire right away or grow into. If you do not have someone in your company who is consistently doing some of the marketing and working with your outside agencies and vendors, you will never get the results you’re looking for - straight up.     Social media works. If it hasn’t worked for you, you’re doing it wrong. ❌❌❌ 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝟯 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 1️⃣ 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 For contracting companies (residential & commercial), your best bet is Facebook & Instagram. It’s not that you can’t have success on other channels; it’s that you need to focus your time, energy, and money to go really deep and get really good at one or two. If you spread yourself too thin, you risk not being able to devote enough resources to get good results anywhere. 2️⃣ 𝗕𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 No secret here. Get into the habit of posting every day. Or multiple times per day. But at least every day. This is how you’re going to grow your following. This is how you’re going to get more engagement. This is how you’re going to get people to actually remember you. There’s a lot of noise in our world today. We need to be consistent to stand out. 3️⃣ 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 It’s 2023…what are you waiting for? Yeah, I know you feel weird. I know it’s outside your comfort zone. But, guess what? Everyone else feels the same as you do. People want to know who they can trust. Video is still the most effective way to differentiate, build your audience, and earn the trust of your market. That’s it. There’s no magic solution that’ll give you the results you want without doing the work. So you may as well start doing the work right now.
