🧑🏽👨🏽🧔🏽👩🏽🦱👨🏽🦱 Naturalized citizens are a powerful force in U.S. elections – making up 1 in 10 eligible voters, that’s over 23 million voices! Here’s how Latinos are making an impact: • 34% of these voters are from Latin America, with the largest group hailing from Mexico (15% or 3.7 million). • The number of naturalized citizens has grown by 93% since 2000, adding millions to the electorate. • Today, 8.1 million naturalized voters are Hispanic, up from 7.5 million just a few years ago. • As 2024 approaches, Latino influence in key states and across the country will play a major role in deciding the future of U.S. politics. • More than half of naturalized voters (55%) live in just four states: California, Florida, New York, and Texas. 🗳️ Want to learn more about how this growing electorate is changing the political landscape? This October 13, our founder, Veronica Cool, proudly attended the first-ever Dominican Culture Fest! 🎉🇩🇴 The event brought our community together with music, traditional dance, and authentic Dominican food, showcasing the rich Dominican culture and marking the official closure of Hispanic Heritage Month. 👉 This festival was a powerful reminder of why culture matters—when we gather, we celebrate not just our traditions but our shared experiences and connections. As the Dominican and broader Latino communities continue to grow, these events underscore the importance of unity, tradition, and cultural pride. #DominicanCultureFest #CultureMatters #HispanicHeritageMonth

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, and reflect on their enduring presence and cultural heritage. We also recognize the challenges many Indigenous communities continue to face and remain mindful of their resilience and strength. 🌍✨ 🗺️ Did you know that Central and Latin America are home to hundreds of Indigenous languages, each with its own unique beauty and history? From Quechua in the Andes to Nahuatl in Mexico, these languages are treasures passed down through generations. 🌎🌿 Quechua: Spoken in Bolivia 🇧🇴, Ecuador 🇪🇨, Perú 🇵🇪, Argentina 🇦🇷, Chile 🇨🇱, and Colombia 🇨🇴. Guaraní: Spoken in Paraguay 🇵🇾, Argentina 🇦🇷, and Bolivia 🇧🇴. Aymara: Spoken in Bolivia 🇧🇴, Perú 🇵🇪, and Chile 🇨🇱. Wayuu: Spoken in northern Colombia 🇨🇴 and northwest Venezuela 🇻🇪. Mapudungun: Spoken in Chile 🇨🇱 and Argentina 🇦🇷. There are approximately 296 spoken (or formerly spoken) Indigenous languages north of Mexico 🇲🇽, 269 of which are grouped into 29 families. The most widely spoken Indigenous languages are Southern Quechua (primarily in southern Peru 🇵🇪 and Bolivia 🇧🇴) and Guarani (centered in Paraguay 🇵🇾), with perhaps six or seven million speakers each. According to the Catalogue of Endangered Languages, there are approximately 600 Indigenous languages known from South America, Central America, and the Antilles. 📜 These languages are the threads that weave together the stories, traditions, and wisdom of their people. 🌟🧵 #IndigenousPeoplesDay #LanguageDiversity #CulturalHeritage #coolandassociates #latinamerica #hispanicmarket #Diadelospueblosindigenas

As you all know, #HispanicHeritageMonth is hectic, but we just had to showcase some well-deserved recognition! Huge congrats to Riccy Amador, for her instrumental role in launching the Baltimore County Immigrant Engagement plan! Alejandra Balcázar for her leadership in trailblazing support for Latino/undocumented students at Towson University. And certainly not least, felicidades to Mayra Loera and Catholic Charities of Baltimore Esperanza Center for their tireless work supporting the victims of the Key Bridge collapse. Well done Latino Providers Network, well done! 🫶 💙 👏
Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration! It was so inspiring to hear from our keynote speaker Baltimore County Public Library CEO Sonia Alcantara-Antoine, to celebrate the accomplishments of the Community Service Award recipients, and to spend time with so many Latino service providers! A wonderful reminder of all the amazing work being done for and with the community. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month to all!
