The "People's Tree" will journey 4,000 miles from the Tongass National Forest in Alaska to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building. Along the way, it will stop at various parks, plazas, schools, memorials, and main streets, bringing holiday cheer to communities through a series of special events.
