It's Bladder Health Awareness Month, and we're joining the conversation. Bladder health is something everyone should pay attention to - period. CooperSurgical is taking the month of November to spotlight bladder health and help normalize the conversation by spreading awareness and educating patients. Here are five fast facts that we want you to know this month: 1. Bladder health can affect anybody, and changes in bladder health can be impactful to your overall wellbeing. 2. Conditions like urinary incontinence (UI) impact millions of people. Up to 33% of adults in the U.S. suffer from UI. 3. Symptoms for conditions like pelvic organ prolapse (POP) can develop over time, or not at all. That's why it's important to have regular checks with your healthcare provider. 4. You have options! Depending on the types of UI or POP that you might be facing, there are options that range from nonsurgical to surgical, to help you live your healthiest life. 5. If you're experiencing symptoms, you aren't alone. Too many people suffer in silence, but know that your healthcare provider is available to talk through your concerns, judgment free. Patients deserve to feel confident and empowered to have conversations about their health. It starts with each one of us 💪 #BladderHealthAwarenessMonth #PatientAdvocacy

We're proud to share MPR - Medical Professionals Reference's coverage of CooperSurgical's new FDA-approved single-hand inserter for the Paragard® IUD. The inserter is now commercially available and enables single-hand placement with a built-in loading tip, simplifying the placement procedure without compromising the reliability of Paragard itself. Read the full article to learn more. https://lnkd.in/e5vqijrM #Paragard #IUD #Contraception #WomensHealth #Innovation Important Safety Information Don’t use Paragard if you are or may be pregnant, have fibroids, a pelvic infection including pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), get infections easily, certain cancers, unexplained bleeding, Wilson’s disease, or a copper allergy. IUDs, including Paragard, have been associated with an increased risk of PID. Pregnancy with Paragard is rare but can be life threatening and cause infertility or loss of pregnancy. Paragard may attach to or go through the uterus and cause other problems. Tell your healthcare provider (HCP) if you develop severe pain or fever shortly after placement, miss a period, have abdominal pain, or if Paragard comes out. If it comes out, use backup birth control. Tell your HCP you have Paragard before having an MRI or a medical procedure using heat therapy. At first, periods may become heavier and longer with spotting in between. Additional common side effects include anemia, pain during sex, backache, and vaginal discharge. Paragard does not protect against HIV or STDs. Only you and your HCP can decide if Paragard is right for you. Available by prescription only. You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA at www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088. Embracing diversity means recognizing and valuing the unique perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds of our employees, patients, and customers. By appreciating these differences, we enrich our community and drive innovation, creativity, and progress. Inclusion goes beyond simply providing a seat at the table; it’s about making sure that every voice—whether from our team members, those we care for, or those we serve—is heard and valued. It involves creating environments where everyone feels empowered to share their ideas and contribute fully, free from judgment or exclusion. #OneCooper #Diversity #Inclusion

Christina Altamirano, HR Business Partner, has been with the CooperSurgical team ever since her summer internship in 2023. Read to see why she chose to spend a summer – and start her career in human resources – with CooperSurgical. #OneCooperIntern 1️⃣ What's one word you would use to describe the internship program? “‘Enriching.’ The internship program was very well-rounded with a balanced mix of hands-on experiences, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. It provided an overview of diverse topics and experiences that allowed me to feel part of CooperSurgical’s workforce and feel valued." 2️⃣ Why did you choose CooperSurgical after the program concluded? “I wanted to stay with CooperSurgical because of the sense of purpose I had each day coming into work, knowing that I was part of an organization that aligns with my personal values and makes such a difference in the lives of others. The team I worked with genuinely cared about my success, and I was always challenged in ways that contributed toward my growth.” 3️⃣ What would you say to someone considering an internship with CooperSurgical? "I would reflect on two things: what impact do you want to make, and what does success look like for you? During my internship at CooperSurgical, I had the chance to make a real-world impact on our teams and uncover a career passion that allowed me to discover more about myself. The internship was more than a stepping stone in my journey; it was a launchpad to grow in ways I would have never imagined."
