We’re excited to share that Cooper Tacia recently completed facility upgrades to Southeastern Timber Products’ lumber milling facility in Ackerman, MS. Our scope consisted of the design and construction of a 55,000 sq. ft. Planer Mill Building, a 50,000 sq. ft. Finished Lumber Storage Shed, a new maintenance building and a new truck tarping station. The various buildings include break rooms, offices, control rooms, and electrical rooms, all built with seamless coordination alongside the mill’s operations and new equipment installation. Through careful planning, we ensured a smooth process with no safety issues, no interruptions, and no delays. Exciting updates on the Horry County Central Coast Complex! Since our work began on January 29, 2024, we’ve achieved significant milestones. We’ve completed site clearing and grubbing, raised the site to the planned elevation, installed slab foundations and are currently erecting structural steel. We’re thrilled with the progress and eagerly preparing for the upcoming topping-out ceremony. Cooper Tacia is proud to announce the completion of two new corporate airplane hangars at Chesapeake Regional Airport in Chesapeake, Virginia. Each step in the construction process involved careful coordination and adherence to regulations to ensure the hangars are functional, safe, and compliant with aviation standards.
