WCBS 2 News recently highlighted SIBSPlace’s summer camp program where more than 20 children were treated to a special visit at HorseAbility, a nonprofit organization that provides equine therapy to individuals with mental health issues. SIBSPlace provides mental health support and programs for children who have a sibling or parent with cancer or other life-threatening illness. Through equine therapy, SIBSPlace campers strengthened their physical and emotional capacities. HorseAbility’s specially-trained horses provide hope and stimulate positive change in the children’s lives. By caring for horses, campers also learned how to be more focused, present and learn how to be their authentic selves. Campers enjoyed a stress-free afternoon horseback riding, grooming and interacting with the horses in the fields and stables. #cancer #cancerawareness #mentalhealth #childrenscancerawareness #siblings https://lnkd.in/eTf8q29B
