Introducing Amal For Children (AFC): A Hope-Filled Media Project for Vulnerable Children CCI partners are delighted to collaborate with our friends from Digitales to support children who have experienced trauma. Amal For Children is a groundbreaking media project, developed by Digitales Media- Jordan, that supports children as they work through traumatic events they have experienced. Through engaging animation and storytelling, AFC equips children with effective coping skills and strategies, helping them build resilience and awareness. This initiative integrates evidence-based therapy modalities, such as KidNET and TF-CBT, which have proven effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety in children. Additionally, AFC equips mental health providers with tools and a curriculum to better support children impacted by trauma, fostering empathy and understanding in their care approach. Our teams are looking for pathways to support children in Ukraine with this animated series and train-the-trainer #workshops delivered online. We value your support, and any connections you might offer. CoreCollaborative International partnered with Michigan State University (MSU) to evaluate the Algorithms & Software for SUpercomputers with emerging aRchitEctures (ASSURE) program. This National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded initiative is a prestigious opportunity for US graduate students to engage in advanced research, global collaboration, and professional development. The evaluation focused on the two key outcomes of content knowledge acquisition and intercultural competency gains. Our findings highlighted successes and identified areas for growth, particularly in intercultural competency. By connecting MSU's ASSURE team with the university's Education Abroad unit, we also helped pave the way for future enhancements that will better prepare students for global collaboration. CoreCollaborative International is proud to contribute to such impactful initiatives, helping organizations refine their programs for greater success. Curious how we can support your goals? CoreCollaborative International (CCI) was asked to partner with Ridgefield Memorial High School, NJ, to deliver diversity, equity, and inclusion training for its faculty, following a racially charged incident. In collaboration with our UK-based partner, Crossing Borders International (CBE), we used film and dialogue, supported by the Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory (BEVI) assessment, to foster meaningful discussions. Participants praised the insights they gained from BEVI and the deep-dive discussions. This initiative showcases CCI’s ability to address complex issues through our deep network of professional partnerships. Together with the Great Lakes College Association’s Global Liberal Arts Alliance (GLAA), CoreCollaborative International (CCI) designed a transformative workshop aimed at training faculty teams worldwide to deliver effective global learning courses. The GLAA, consisting of member colleges from #Indiana, #Michigan, #Ohio, and #Pennsylvania, is committed to strengthening liberal arts education globally. Through its Global Course Connections (GCC) program, GLAA has connected nearly 100 international classrooms since 2015, promoting global perspectives and collaborative learning. Recognizing the need for faculty preparation in virtual exchange, GLAA partnered with CCI to create a workshop that would enhance faculty capacity for planning and co-teaching these courses across diverse international contexts. In the wake of the pandemic, the original in-person workshop evolved into a virtual training program, allowing the GLAA network to continue its mission of global education. Bringing together best practices in global learning, cultural intelligence, and virtual exchange, the CCI team ensured that faculty were equipped with the tools needed to foster meaningful global connections in their classrooms. The collaboration is a testament to CCI’s personalized approach to learning design, adapting to the needs of the client and the realities of a changing world. CoreCollaborative International (CCI) is honored to partner with the Peace Corps to support English teachers in eastern and southern Ukraine. Under the leadership of Dr. Jennifer Jones Wiley, a former Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine, we aim to provide essential support to educators working under challenging conditions. Teachers in Ukraine face immense pressure as they fill gaps caused by the invasion, continue educational activities, and support their students' psychological wellbeing amidst ongoing conflict. Recognizing their unique needs, Peace Corps Ukraine designed a series of webinars for community practice and psychosocial support. This summer, CCI will contribute to this initiative by offering three Zoom sessions on: ▶️Identification of Emotions and Activities for English Language Classrooms - Led by Dr. Jennifer Wiley. ▶️Emotional and Behavioral Regulation in the Trauma-Informed Classroom - Led by Dr. Vesna Hart. ▶️Trauma-Informed Self-Care - Led by Dr. Angela Webb. The goal is to equip dedicated teachers with tools to foster emotional attunement and self-care, enhancing their capacity to support students: https://lnkd.in/dUpQFHwu Ukraine continues to need our support. We encourage donations to organizations like Project HOPE and UNICEF supporting health initiatives in Ukraine. Write to your political representatives to let them know you care about this issue. CCI is proud to collaborate with the Peace Corps and other organizations dedicated to making a difference. If you want to know more about what you can do to help Ukraine, please reach out to us. #Education #Ukraine #SupportUkraine #PeaceCorps #Teachers #MentalHealth #EmotionalWellbeing #TraumaInformedCare #GlobalCollaboration

“The Virginia New Teacher Support Program (VaNTSP) is a valuable and essential component of a robust and strategic support structure we developed for the early-career teachers in our school district. This tiered system of support enables us to meet the comprehensive and diverse needs of each of our newest educators resulting in high teacher retention rates, increased teacher satisfaction, enhanced performance, and improved student outcomes. As the point of contact for our school district, I thoroughly enjoy partnering with the VaNTSP contacts at James Madison University as we work collaboratively to support our early-career teachers and help them develop into master educators.” - Lisa Lynch, Instructional Skills Specialist, Chesapeake Public Schools. CoreCollaborative International (CCI) is proud to support the Virginia New Teachers Support Program (VANTSP), aiding early-career teachers across Virginia. In collaboration with the Virginia Department of Education, James Madison University, and Virginia State University, VANTSP provides crucial coaching and training. Dedicated to evolving #STEM career pathways? Consider this powerful quote from a report on an innovative gathering of STEM stakeholders by the AAAS with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF). "Even when STEM departments and instructors commit to more equitable and research-based teaching methods, how do they know these changes are making a difference and that the assessments reflect departmental values and the instructor’s stated goals? Do they know why students took the class in the first place and whether or not they have achieved their own personal goals? In other words, is it possible to relate student learning to student values and their academic and career goals?" Our culturally responsive approaches to program evaluation can get at these questions and help departmental leaders understand who the learners are that come to their program. Passionate about reshaping #STEM education? Check out this insightful quote from a report on an innovative gathering of STEM stakeholders by the AAAS with support from National Science Foundation (NSF). "...for the nation to grow and achieve its social and economic potential, it cannot allow any student with a commitment to STEM learning to be left behind." Cultures of "weed out" courses don't serve our future as a society. We help departments identify the culture resident in their programs and work alongside them to determine how their community would like to address needs that arise when learners aren't at the center of the process.
