Exciting Announcement! 🎉 In just 5 weeks, my latest project will be available on Amazon. This Bible study beautifully blends biblical wisdom with practical financial literacy. Readers will be taking steps to better their own financial picture while learning what God says about money. This study can be completed individually or a perfect for fit for small groups. I cannot wait to share this with you.

One thing I've heard from financial advisors for years: summer is a slow time for business. 🥱 I can't say that'll be my experience this summer, having recently signed a couple of new clients with dynamic situations. I'm also participating in Hannah Moore, CFP®'s Externship program for the third time. This commitment is no joke, which is why I didn't complete it last year as I was launching my firm and why it now counts as 500 experience hours towards the CFP experience hours requirement. If you're a career changer curious about or interested in making a move towards personal finance as a career path, I would highly recommend checking it out next year! You might not see my post much this summer and it's not because I'll be on vacation... While that frankly sounds quite lovely, I'll be using this time to grow and I'll catch you on the flip-side. 👋 In the meantime, if you're in the SF Bay Area, reach out if you'd like to meet up over the summer. 🤙

I recently made one of the most difficult decisions of my life and shut down my RIA, Ad Astra Financial Planning. 🫡 Why? Living semi-nomadically over the past year while operating my firm, I've intimately experienced the reality that the regulatory systems of the financial services industry were not designed for folk like me. While I could have continued to make it work, especially as I'm settling into a more conventional lifestyle for this next phase of life, I've also learned new things and forged new connections along the way. I've always been wary of relinquishing any autonomy which would limit my ability to serve my clients properly while also recognizing the value of being part of a larger team. However, I've recently discovered new options that align with my desire for both autonomy and collaboration. With that said, I'm excited to officially announce that I've joined core planning as an independent advisor! 🎉 Core Planning is a community of advisors who value independence within a powerful framework of generosity and support. guy penn and the team at Core Planning share my belief that an independent model, where advisors have the flexibility to run their practice in a personalized manner, is the best way to serve our clients. I'm thrilled to continue on this next chapter of my journey with them! 🙌
