Developing the next generation of blockchain leaders and thinkers
About us
Cornell Blockchain is an organization aimed to close the gap between business and technology through the education, certification, and application of blockchain. We aim to educate and develop the next thought leaders by providing learning opportunities and a network of resources. Our mission would not be possible without the support from Cornell’s IC3 (Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts) research organization, expert advisors, and partnerships with major blockchain organizations around the world. On campus, we run workshops, information sessions, and run projects with our Research and Development Branch (R&D) and Advisory Branch. Our other initiatives include our annual spring Cornell Blockchain Conference and our Interview Series, which can be found on our Medium page. CFO, PayPal Digital Currencies & Remittances (fmr) || VP Finance || public company operating exec and P&L owner || blockchain leader || head of corp dev || 2x head of investor relations
On Monday night at Cornell Tech, I joined Alexandra Scheibe and David Taub to guest lecture in their Crypto & Blockchain Finance, Law and Policy course. Wonderful to collaborate with two such experienced fintech practitioners as they work to guide both the industry as well as law & business students in this frontier market. I felt very optimistic about the future of blockchain, innovation law, and Cornell after meeting these two dozen masters students in person in NYC and remoting in from Ithaca. Thanks to them for a great discussion and nuanced questions around banking, recent market history, and how stablecoins can structured to optimize on priorities of consumer protection, regulatory robustness, asset backing, and liquidity. Special shoutout to: Ain, Richard, Guru & Vinicius...good meeting you and your classmates.
