Open Source Observability Platform
About us
Coroot is an open source observability platform that helps engineers fix service outages and even prevent them. It continuously audits telemetry data to highlight issues and weak spots in your services. Quick setup, no code required. Coroot turns metrics, logs, and traces into answers concerning application issues and their causes. Its built-in set of predefined inspections allows it to accurately identify the root cause of over 80% of outages. Coroot leverages eBPF to build a comprehensive Service Map of any system, making it possible to audit not only any given service but also its dependent services and databases.

Gathering cloud instance metadata in AWS, GCP and Azure 🔧 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d_QNJnb6 💡 Nikolay Sivko : "An Availability Zone is an isolated infrastructure (one or more data centers) with independent power, cooling, networking, etc. Cloud providers usually suggest customers run their workloads in multiple AZs to be tolerant to failure of an individual zone. It does really increase fault tolerance, but don’t forget that..."

Building a service map using eBPF 🤖 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eF7aiKCA 👨💻 Nikolay Sivko : "We implemented eBPF-based container tracing which is a part of our open source Prometheus exporter node-agent. It passively monitors all TCP connections on a node, associates every connection with the related container, and exports metrics in Prometheus format."

Spotting Postgres performance issues with Coroot 💡 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eUEP-EXH 🧑💻 Nikolay Sivko : "We spot a spike in the catalog‘s latency. To determine whether this anomaly is caused by a Postgres performance issue, we need to somehow compare the app latency with the DB latency. If these metrics correlate we can go deeper to find the reason for the degraded database performance."
