This summer I had the amazing opportunity to work for Corporate Traffic Logistics down in Jacksonville, FL as a Jr Logistics Specialist. As a Supply Chain Management student at the University of Oklahoma I will be able to take back a wealth of knowledge in the field of Logistics and Freight Brokering. Being apart of a Full Cycle 3rd Party Logistics team allowed me to gain experience in every stage of the logistics process from booking to delivering freight. Thank you to Christopher Cline, Chad Cline, and Craig Cline for this opportunity to work in such a great environment. Thank you Madison Youngblood for all the hard work you put into making this summer one of the best for me, and all other interns. Thank you Max Tejada and Tyler Scott for allowing me to join your team for the past 11 weeks. Thank you for taking time out your days everyday to teach and answer any and all questions I had. I can not thank the both of you enough for how much I have learned throughout this summer. Last week, I finished my 14-week internship with Corporate Traffic Logistics working as a social media and marketing intern! Throughout my time at CT, I learned more than just the technical aspects of social media and marketing. I learned about the importance of adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Logistics, by nature, requires you to stay responsive to changes in the market and client needs. This lesson in adaptability will undoubtedly serve me well in my future career endeavors. Additionally, I learned the power of effective communication and teamwork. Whether it’s working cross-functionally with different departments or communicating our brand’s message through social media channels, collaboration has been key to achieving my summer goals. I want to thank Christopher Cline, Chad Cline and Craig Cline for fostering a work environment where I have felt valued, supported and empowered to grow both personally and professionally. I also want to thank Keith Lechwar and Makenna Vanderwilt for trusting me to expand CT’s brand and “Never Settle” motto, as well as mentor me as fellow Gator grads! Lastly, I want to thank Madison Youngblood for spearheading an amazing internship program, allowing students from different backgrounds to learn and grow within the logistics industry.
