About us
End-to-End Solutions to Your Most Difficult Problems. Corvid is a small business that provides technology-based solutions to a diverse customer base ranging from the Missile Defense Agency to NASCAR. Founded in 2004, we are a team of over 140 engineers and scientists, approximately three-quarters of whom hold master's degrees or Ph.D.s. We offer end-to-end solutions that include concept development, design, optimization, build, and test. We leverage the predictive power of our high-fidelity computational physics solvers, indigenous massively parallel supercomputer systems, prototyping plant, and ballistics and mechanics lab to investigate a wide range of high-rate physics phenomena. The results are complex engineering solutions for a variety of applications, including aircraft, ballistic missile defense, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, and missile and warhead design and development. These solutions are achieved with optimal design and cost efficiency, thanks to the predictive capability of Corvid's tools and our in-house, integrated end-to-end approach, which sets Corvid apart from the market. Corvid’s main campus is located in Mooresville, NC, with satellite offices in Alexandria, VA, and Huntsville, AL. Corvid is a CNI Company and functions as a subsidiary of CNI Government, LLC.

We were thrilled to host U.S. Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) for a visit to Corvid headquarters in Mooresville, showcasing the expansion of our North Carolina campus with the building of a state-of-the-art manufacturing, assembly, and test facility. Our President and CEO David Robinson toured Senator Budd through the new 205,000 sq. ft. space, which is in the final phases of construction with plans to open in June 2025. Thanks to the support from Senator Budd and other fantastic leaders like him at the federal, state, and local levels, Corvid continues to expand its operations and capabilities as well as the aerospace and defense industry footprint in North Carolina.

Raytheon and Ursa Major recently announced the successful missile flight test of their affordable, long-range solid rocket motor, marking a significant milestone in advancing the U.S. Army’s precision-guided munitions. Corvid played a key role in this program, supporting Ursa Major with thermal and structural analysis of the rocket motor, as well as designing and fabricating the test stand for one of the shots. Additionally, Corvid assisted Raytheon with the design, analysis, and fabrication of truck modifications, the truck’s launch platform, and launch pods. Leading up to and throughout the test event, Corvid also provided instrumentation planning and execution support. We’re proud to contribute to this important initiative, collaborating with Raytheon and Ursa Major to address the U.S. Army’s need for cost-effective precision-guided munitions.
