Before we'd raised a penny, we got to brainstorm our technology with the brilliant minds on their robotics research group and use their machine shop and facilities for initial testing! GIANT ROBOT ALERT!! Incredibly excited to show off how future solar farms will be built with our Cosmic-1 platform. We hit another huge milestone with fully autonomous solar panel installation at our test facility last week. This demo was put together just 4 months after starting development which is absolutely breakneck speed for any robotics product, let alone an outdoor construction robot. To hit US’s renewable infrastructure build out targets, automation is absolutely critical. Today, crews of manual laborers have to install millions of 80lb solar panels to build solar farms by hand and there’s a larger backlog of projects than ever before. Cosmic-1 will radically accelerate the rate of construction and combat the increasing labor shortage in the sector. Next up is deployment to solar farms… stay tuned!
