At the Counseling Col:lab, we understand that investing in your mental and emotional well-being is a powerful choice. Our therapy services are priced to reflect the expertise and dedication of our experienced therapists. We believe that the benefits of therapy, including improved mental health, stronger relationships, and enhanced personal growth, far outweigh the cost. It's an investment in yourself, your happiness, and your future, but we understand wanting to see a therapist who is in-network which is why we have partnered with the insurance companies listed below. We offer competitive and flexible pricing options to accommodate your needs and are committed to providing exceptional value for every session. If you don’t see your California insurance plan listed below, know that you can still work with any of our experienced therapists via self-pay or by submitting a claim for your out-of-network benefits after we provide you with a superbill.

You’re probably getting excited for coziness, fall colors, and cooler weather. You may also find yourself less excited about the days getting shorter, if you tend to suffer from seasonal affective disorder. Shorter days can mean loss of interest in activities you love, low mood, low energy, and an overall feeling that things aren’t right. If you find yourself falling into SAD every year, there are a few things you can to do help yourself: 😀 Schedule mood boosting, fun activities for yourself in the fall and winter ☀️Spend time in natural light, or talk with your doctor about using a light box 💪Take the best care of yourself you can. Try your best to eat nourishing food and exercise, especially outdoors. 👩⚕️Talk with a therapist about your struggles; support and planning through therapy can help keep SAD from overwhelming you.

Mental wellbeing is tied closely to having healthy relationships in your life. From relationships with romantic partners, to family, to friends, to ourselves, having the courage and conviction to communicate honestly, enforce boundaries, and look for healthier, more fulfilling options, can be key to encouraging improved mental wellbeing for ourselves. Unhealthy relationships can look different to everyone, from patterns and dynamics that are just a poor fit between yourself and another person, to the extremes of abuse. Taking the time to reflect on how this kind of unhealthy relationship is impacting your life, and your mental wellbeing, can be a good first step toward making the changes necessary to remove stressful, unsupportive, and unhealthy relationships from your life. Watch a conversation on this, between Amanda Gibson, LCSW, and Melissa Revelez, ACSW, here: https://lnkd.in/gRKPueWc
