Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of hosting the Courageous Survivors Inc. third annual Evening of Hope at our home in #Phoenix. My amazing wife Nicole joined the board of Courageous Survivors over a year ago, amplifying their work to support adult survivors of sexual trauma on their path to peace, with the vision of empowering every adult survivor of sexual trauma. While sexual violence knows no gender, women often experience this suffering at an astounding rate in the United States, approximately 1 in 3 according to the CDC. I am fortunate in a million ways to be surrounded by exceptional women who bring endless love and joy into my life: from my sisters and sisters-in-law to my wife and daughters, and of course, the driven and talented women I have the honor of working with at Deloitte. It is a privilege to be a voice for their safety and empowerment through organizations like Courageous Survivors. Thank you to the many guests and friends of Courageous Survivors who joined us Thursday night, to my wife Nicole for your generosity of time and spirit in support of this incredible organization, and a special salute to Courageous Survivors CEO and President Janet Bentley for her bravery and determination in sharing her story and changing lives. Each reflection shared on Thursday night stretched my heart and motivated me to join the effort to lean in on behalf of these amazing women!
