Welcome Patrick Ward! Patrick joins the Cova team as a Technical Program Coordinator, providing leadership on development and implementation of Cova's programs. Patrick's relationship with Cova began many years ago when he participated in one of Cova's early student impact programs while an undergrad in Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University, and later as a summer fellow during his time working on his Masters in Global Engineering with the Mortenson Center at the University of Colorado Boulder. Patrick brings to our team considerable experience in the sustainable development space globally, and we are excited to have him join us. Welcome, Patrick!

#SOCAP24 begins today! 🎉 We are excited to gather this week in San Francisco to build and scale the impact economy with our community of changemakers. If you are attending, share your experience by tagging us on social and take advantage of the places to connect directly with fellow attendees on Day One, including: • SOCAP Newcomer Welcome: Building Connections and Navigating the Conference with Confidence — An intentional networking session designed for first-time SOCAP attendees to act as a launchpad for establishing meaningful connections and making the most of your time at the conference (1:15 p.m., CJM Blue Cube). • Regional Networking Sessions — These facilitated networking sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to network and discover potential partnerships with regional peers. Sessions will be held at different times based on region in the CJM Blue Cube. • Creative Tensions Sessions — These sessions follow a format inspired by our friends at DEO. org, where participants share where they stand on an issue by where they move in the room. Come ready to engage and exchange! Held at different times on a variety of topics • 1:1 meetings in the The Contemporary Jewish Museum can be scheduled in Brella for time blocks on each of our three days together. • First-ever SOCAP Cafe: Snack With Impact — In partnership with GoodSAM, PBC, attendees can network over complimentary fair trade coffee and healthy snacks; located in the CJM. • The Expo Lounge in City View, where you can see the booths on display while you meet and greet with mission-aligned partners and other attendees. • The Indigenous Lounge in City View, hosted by the Raven Indigenous Impact Foundation, Seven Generations Capital, and the NDN Collective is a dedicated space for Indigenous changemakers to gather, connect, and collaborate.
