Since two devastating hurricanes brought death and destruction across the southeastern US, the response from the presidential candidates, the media, and voters has been deafening. Headlines screamed that the future of the planet was on the ballot November 5. Candidates raced to be the first to share their plans for a climate-safe future. The fight against climate change dominated the election conversation. Record scratch. In reality, none of that happened.
