What’s next for M&A? CRC-IB anticipates a continued uptick in asset sales across clean energy technologies, driven by strong demand for operating assets and increased competition. While corporate M&A activity has slowed compared to 2021-2022, investor interest remains healthy. Acquirers are taking a more strategic approach to acquisitions, focusing on geography, technology, and electricity supply needs. Although bid-ask spreads and policy uncertainty are creating some delays, platform M&A is expected to stabilize and pick up again in late 2025.
