Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, CR+M developed a special relationship with the Union Township School District. Dr. Gerry Benaquista, Superintendent of Schools, championed the safety of his faculty and students by purchasing 34 Stop The Bleed Emergency cabinets designed by CR+M. The cabinets are equipped with grab-and-go CR+M Emergency Bleeding Control belts and storage for the school’s AEDs. CR+M also provided multiple STOP THE BLEED® trainings to over 150 faculty members, 100 students, and 60 bus drivers. We are proud to support Union Township Schools in creating a safer environment for all. “Our goal is to train as many faculty and students as possible because the quicker someone receives care, the better their chances of survival. We are also proud to be one of the first school districts to train our transportation department, ensuring our bus drivers are prepared to act in emergencies. The CR+M Team provided us with vital life skills for our district and we are grateful for their services” - Dr. Gerry Benaquista, Superintendent of Schools

Yesterday was a "Trifecta of Safety" at Union High School. The administrative staff kicked off the day with Community Response and STOP THE BLEED® training, gaining essential skills for emergency bleeding control. From there, they moved on to EpiPen training, ensuring readiness for allergic emergencies, and concluded with AED training, equipping them with lifesaving defibrillator skills. Special thanks to our amazing team for dedicating their time and leading these crucial training sessions. Together, we are making Union High School a safer environment for everyone. #STOPTHEBLEED #AmericanCollegeOfSurgeons #SafetyTraining #SchoolSafety #EmergencyPreparedness

Sean McKinney is a recently retired NJ State Trooper, who dedicates his free time to train people in STOP THE BLEED. Recently, Sean and our team led a training session at Union County School District, where we trained almost 200 individuals, including the transportation department. This Thursday, he’ll be back with his Community Response team to train the District Administrators. Sean and our team donate our time to make a difference in our communities. The STOP THE BLEED mission transcends politics; it’s about uniting to save lives. This is how we train and why we are committed to creating safer communities. #StopTheBleed #AmericanCollegeofSurgeons #CommunityResponse #LifeSavingTraining #CommunitySafety #UnionCountySchools

Great to see the ACS and COT continuing efforts to push legislation through for a critical life-saving cause. “It was a multidisciplinary effort to get this legislation across the finish line. In the end, we now have a meaningful bill to help prevent deaths from uncontrolled bleeding for our students and our teachers throughout the state.” https://lnkd.in/ebZ9tbm9
