C.R. Onsrud's Building 3 officially opened at today's ribbon-cutting ceremony with over 250 attendees! Joining Onsrud CEO Tom Onsrud were US congressman Pat Harrigan, Laura Kennedy from NC Senator Tom Tillis' office, Richard Moxley from Senator Ted Budd's office, Brad Stroud from the Iredell County Commissioner Board, Ron "Duck" Wyatt, Troutman Town Manager. Additionally, others were present from the Town of Troutman, Iredell Economic Development Corporation, Strickland Construction, SouthState Bank, and the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce. Also in attendance were the incredible, hardworking C.R. Onsrud staff. This is a monumental moment in the history of C.R. Onsrud, and they recognized the tremendous support they received. This expansion enables our company to house more staff to build more CNC machines, build much larger CNC machines, and build them all faster. Recruiting nationally for organizations is a challenge for a lot of reasons, and unfortunately, I often don't get the opportunity to spend time in-person with candidates who live across the country. Yesterday I was super excited to spend time with several placements who joined the CR Onsrud, Inc. team last year and were in for training and the ribbon cutting ceremony at their new 83k sq. ft. facility. (Incredible BTW) Beyond being able to shake hands and spend time with people you work with for weeks (or months) to find new opportunities, hearing them RAVE about the organization they've joined, the culture of the business, and the future puts it all into perspective.
