Our annual Department of Medicine Special Grand Rounds: Alan E. Barman, D.O. “Resident Scholarly Excellence Award” program was held at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Congratulations to Aanchal Sawhney, M.D., Internal Medicine resident, who received the Outstanding Resident Award. Dr. Sawhney is an aspiring cardiologist and has made immense contributions to the program with her mentorship, quality improvement projects, and research. Additionally, the following Internal Medicine residents gave outstanding presentations: Aamir Hayat, M.D. ~ “Adrenal Crisis in a Patient Diagnosed with Primary Adrenal Insufficiency Following Covid Vaccination” Shreeyanta K C, M.D. ~ “Management of Inpatient Hyperglycemia in Non-Critical Care Settings” Maryam Hussain, M.D. and Trishna Kattel, M.D. ~ “Use of Steroids in Septic Shock” C. Nathan Okechukwu, M.D., Chairman of Department of Medicine, Ashish Rana, M.D., Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, and all of the Department of Medicine Attendings and Faculty members continue to provide outstanding education, support, and mentorship to our dedicated and hardworking residents!
