About us
Awareness to the human cost of the War on Drugs through portrait art and personal stories. Our portrait exhibits are on the walls of 15+ cannabis retail venues across the US. Our founder, Tamara Lyn Netzel, is available for speaking engagements telling these stories and discussing issues in the cannabis industry from a patient’s perspective. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and her introduction to cannabis has inspired her to create cruelconsequences.org Tamara has appeared on NBC Dateline and several other media outlets telling her story and the stories. Caroline Phillips is the Founder and Executive Producer of the National Cannabis Festival in Washington D.C. that has been successful since 2016. She is an inspiration to all, but especially women in the cannabis space with her success! I am so grateful to include her in our upcoming book celebrating people in cannabis. Caroline intentionally designed NCF with a focus on the music, advocacy, education, and activism related to cannabis. We had an amazing conversation. She says she enjoys the problem solving and the behind the scenes work of planning events more than the limelight and this is just one of the reasons people in cannabis love her! He is known as America’s foremost marijuana smoker and legalization advocate. He is a legend in cannabis. Keith Stroup founded the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws in Washington, DC in 1970. If it weren’t for his work, we wouldn’t have the freedoms we have and the marijuana movement would not be where it is today. We got to talk about how his roots in rural Illinois influenced what he has been able to accomplish. He has personally experienced being arrested for possession of marijuana himself and got his start as a consumer safety lawyer taking interest in defending marijuana consumers. It was an enormous privilege of mine to be able to interview this man and include him in our upcoming new book! Thank you Keith!
