In June of 1982 Bob Howlett was hired to work in Cryofab's leak detection department. Over the years Bob became an exceptional welder demonstrating skill and precision on complex projects throughout his career. Today, after 42 years, Bob remains an integral part of our team. He is not only our go-to authority on leak detection but also shares his expertise with new employees, contributing to their training and development. Cryofab management shares that Bob is a "delivery driven" employee consistently exceeding expectations with his commitment to quality and timely project completion. Bob's loyalty to Cryofab and his contributions to our mission of delivering world-class cryogenic projects is commendable. What a thrill for the Cryofab, Inc. team to see our customized 3500 liter liquid helium dewar in place at Brookhaven National Laboratory. When first presented with the challenge of designing a dewar that could accommodate special instrumentation and a walk-around platform, we knew that it “could” be done, but the challenge was “how” to design and manufacture the dewar efficiently and effectively. This is where my brother and business partner Greg Grillo excels. I have great respect for Greg's methodical and strategic approach to design and engineering and his ability to overcome complex and unique cryogenic challenges. Some of the brightest minds in the industry use Cryofab as a resource because of Gregs' experience and ability. Thank you Brookhaven National Laboratory for your generous hospitality during our visit and your continued confidence in Cryofab. Tam Tu joined Cryofab in October of 1993. Over 31 years, we have watched Tam grow from a bright young engineer into a skilled and highly valued member of the Cryofab family. As our Senior Applications Engineer, his primary responsibilities are product design and specifications. Tam is also our resident technical expert solving problems with everything from our phone system to the computer network. Whether handling complex projects for international clients or working on the standard product lines we carry, Tam takes on every project and request with a smile and helpful attitude. Everybody likes this guy who is a bit camera shy, but we did manage to catch him by surprise and take a photo. Thank you Tam for all that you do to help make Cryofab a company that we are all proud of.

Custom manufacturing is our specialty. Brookhaven National Laboratory came to us to design and manufacture a 3500 liter liquid helium dewar that included a walk-around platform to facilitate access to the top of the dewar. We were able to modify a standard dewar with custom features to achieve their vision.
