On September 5th, our Vice President for the Energy Sector, Fernando M. Padilla, served as a panelist on the Educational Forum for Analysts and Journalists: Large Scale Renewable Energy as a Tool to Support the Electric System in Puerto Rico.   This event, sponsored by the APER Asociación de Productores de Energía Renovable (APER), brought together energy leaders and experts to educate, discuss and promote the renewable energy industry in Puerto Rico.    The forum presented an in-depth examination of the current power generation system on the island. Fernando and other panelists, NU Energy CEO + Principal and former NEPR Commissioner, Angel R. Rivera de la Cruz, and former Director of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), Eng. One of CSA's Guiding Principles is to "Contribute to the Industries we Serve and the Communities we Live in" and on Saturday, August 24th, we walked the talk. CSA's Puerto Rico team and their families participated in United Way’s Annual Give a Day | Regala un Día! Last week we celebrated our first Cultural Diversity Week at CSA. We are committed to live by one of our respected guiding principles: We treat people with respect and value their diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions. We proudly seek diverse cultures, diverse voices, and diverse talents. This pursuit is a hallmark of our success.    We set aside time for our employees to engage in thoughtful conversations and share individual stories about where our people live or their cultural origins. We look forward to this celebration every year to learn more about our colleagues, their families, and their homes. Our employees were engaged and curious as colleagues shared their foods, clothes, music, and traditions to entertain and delight us all. The week is an annual reminder that at its core, cultural diversity is about connections.
